The Ninth Annual Research Town Meeting and Fair was Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at the SIUC Student Center. The town meeting started with the winner of the 2011 Scholar Excellence Award, Dr. Michael Neumeister, entitled "Bedside to Bench: Do I Have That Backwards?"

The 8th Annual Research Town Meeting and Fair took place on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at the Student Center Ballrooms on the Southern Illinois University Carbondale Campus. The Research Town Meeting and Fair celebrates research, scholarship, and creative activity at SIUC. |

This year's event featured poster presentations by 235 participants, as well as the 2010 Outstanding Scholar Lecture by Dale Vitt. It also featured three awards for poster presentations and two awards for patents issued to faculty inventors so far in fiscal year 2011.
